After a short ride with... read more the lancha and a tuk tuk we arrived at his place in San Miguel which is just awesome. You can see the sun rising in the morning and enjoy the view over the lake. His Container is super well equipped, because it usually is his home which you are living in. Additionally Umberto gave us some very helpful tips and also arranged the Tikal Tour for us.

You have to take a boat from Flores and walk a little bit to reach the house but the neighborhood is relaxed and authentic - quite different than Flores. You will have the chance to see the daily life of the people living here. Umberto was really helpful and he welcomed us in Flores so it was very easy to find the place. We would come back!

We... read more were there during one of the hottest times of the year, but with a fan and the windows open, we never felt too hot. The outdoor spaces and the hammocks were absolutely divine. Umberto was also a great host - providing all the perfect little touches that make you feel at home, as well as tons of information and recommendations about the local area. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend Umberto’s place to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful jungle retreat!
